Accessibility Statement
HTHA is committed to improving the accessibility and usability of our website so more people can browse, understand and use our content and shopping features.
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Our Commitment
We aim to make core browsing, product discovery, shopping and support functions usable with common assistive technologies and keyboard navigation.
We aim to follow widely recognized accessibility practices, including relevant WCAG guidance. Accessibility is an ongoing effort: we improve structure, labels, focus behaviour and content as we ship new pages and shopping tools.
Accessibility Measures
The following measures are present in the current HTHA theme implementation. This list reflects engineering practices already in use — not a claim of full WCAG conformance.
- Semantic page structure with a single primary main landmark on key templates.
- A “Skip to main content” link that becomes visible on keyboard focus and targets the main landmark.
- Visible focus styles for navigation, icon buttons, links and key interactive controls.
- Keyboard-accessible header navigation and mobile menu controls with accessible names.
- Screen-reader utility text for context that is not visually labeled.
- Form fields on Contact, Custom Painting and trade enquiry flows use associated labels; required fields are marked.
- Icon-only actions (search, cart, wishlist, compare, quantity, filter close) expose accessible names.
- FAQ and policy table-of-contents patterns use native disclosure controls where implemented.
- Filter drawers and compare/wishlist live regions announce state changes where those modules are present.
- Product gallery video embeds use titled iframes and privacy-enhanced YouTube hosts when video is configured.
- Responsive layouts that reflow content for smaller viewports without relying on horizontal page scroll for core reading.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences to limit non-essential animation where theme motion applies.
Known Limitations
We want this statement to stay honest. Areas that may still create barriers include:
- This statement is not a formal WCAG 2.x AA certification. HTHA has not claimed a completed third-party conformance audit for the entire website.
- Some product image alternative text depends on catalogue data quality and may be incomplete for older or imported items.
- Checkout payment fields rendered by third-party gateways (hosted fields or iframes) are controlled by those providers.
- Embedded YouTube content may expose player controls and captions that differ from HTHA theme patterns.
- Complex shopping tools (filters, compare boards, wishlist) continue to improve; occasional keyboard or screen-reader friction may remain on edge cases.
- Colour contrast across all marketing states (sale badges, muted captions, overlays) is reviewed over time and may still need refinement in places.
If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us — reports help us prioritise fixes.
Third-Party Content
Parts of the shopping experience rely on services outside the HTHA theme. We choose providers carefully where we can, but their interfaces are controlled by those companies.
- WooCommerce checkout and payment gateway fields (including hosted payment fields or iframes).
- YouTube product videos when an artwork includes a video URL.
- Optional analytics, cookie or marketing tooling configured in site settings.
- Future gift-card purchase or redemption UI provided by a WooCommerce gift card plugin, when that engine is connected.
If a third-party component blocks you from completing a purchase or reading content, contact us and we will help with an alternative path where reasonably possible.
Need Accessibility Help?
If you experience difficulty using the HTHA website or need information in another accessible format, please contact us and describe the page or feature involved.
We will review accessibility feedback and respond as reasonably possible. We do not operate a dedicated accessibility hotline; messages are handled through our standard customer support channels.
What to Include in a Report
Helpful details make it easier for us to reproduce and fix issues. Please include what you can — none of the optional items below are required.
- The page URL or a clear description of where you were.
- What you were trying to do.
- What problem occurred.
- Browser and device (for example, Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Windows).
- Assistive technology you use, if relevant (optional).
- A screenshot or short description of on-screen messages (optional).
You do not need to share personal health or disability information to receive help.
Ongoing Improvements
As HTHA ships new shopping channels, guides and policy pages, we continue to review keyboard paths, labels, focus visibility, heading structure and third-party embeds.
Customer feedback is one of the most useful inputs for prioritising fixes. When we resolve a reported barrier, we update the related templates and, when material, refresh this statement.
